Casual Living hosted its first-ever Designer Workshop at Furnitureland South on Tuesday, June 27. Sponsored by Sunbrella and Seasonal Living, the workshop attracted more than 40 attendees, including designers from surrounding states, leaders in the outdoor furnishings industry and Furnitureland South executives. Offering more than six hours of educational presentations by industry experts and a tour of the mega store’s outdoor category and design center—plus a gourmet lunch and a cocktail hour—the workshop proved to be an invaluable experience. A survey showed that the top reasons for attending included the networking opportunities, the ability to earn 2 CEUs from the Interior Design Continuing Education Council and the chance to learn the latest outdoor trends.
